The Akhal Teke horse is known as the heavenly horse because of the golden coat sheen. The breed developed in Turkmenistan, a central Asian country, over 3,000 years ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are known for their speed, endurance, intelligence, and devotion to their riders. The horses are an emblem of the country and appear on banknotes and stamps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
