Login Basics

LOGGING IN -- After you set up your user registration, (First Time Sign Up) you then access your own personal menu bar by clicking the "login" link near the top of the BuyHorsesONLY classified pages. You just type in your selected user name and password and click "submit." 

LOST PASSWORDS -- if you have forgotten your user name or password,  please email the webmaster at hoofnote@wamego.net Andrea will send it to you at your regular e-mail address ASAP. This task will be automated soon and placed on the regular menu.  Try to avoid submitting another user registration due to having forgotten your password. This causes your sale listings not to come up as a complete group if they are scattered between multiple accounts. The only way to consolidate them after the fact is to re-submit under the desired user account,  which is a lot of extra work for you. 

PLACING ADS -- If you have not placed an ad before,  basic instructions are given HERE.

UPDATING ADS -- All ad modifications are done using the "Update Classified Ad" link on your personal toolbar after logging in.  You can add or change information in all areas of the ad,  add or change photos, delete an ad,  deactivate an ad so it will not come up on search queries (handy when you go on vacation),  and mark a horse "SOLD."

Click the "Update Classified Ad" button for a list of ads you have currently in the system,  listed by name and ad number. 

To Change or Update an Ad: click the name of the horse whose ad you wish to change. The submission form will come up with all the information you previously submitted.  Simply view the form and add or change information as desired. Then click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the form.

DELETE AN AD -- Login -- Click "Update Classified Ad" -- Find the horse you want to delete on your list of horses -- Click the button labeled "DELETE." 

RENEW  or RESUBMIT AN AD:
Login -- Click "Update Classified Ad"  --  Find the horse you want to renew on your list of horses.  When your ad passes the 1 day remaining mark, this message will appear:
 
"AD EXPIRED" ... Just Click the "RENEW" button. If the ad is not renewed within 10 days,  it will automatically be deactivated.  at 20 days,  it will be permanently deleted.  This is to make sure that the ads on our site are kept fresh.

Upon renewal,  the "Days Remaining" will reset to 120 for sale horses and 12 months for stallion at stud ads. If a payment is required, a payment page will then display.

DEACTIVATE AN AD:
In the event that you wish to deactivate an ad temporarily so it will not come up on user searches, the "Activate / Deactivate" button will perform this action.  Click "DEACTIVATE AD" to temporarily remove your ad from the user queries.

RE-ACTIVATE AN AD:
Click the button labeled "ACTIVATE AD."  New ads are automatically active unless you cancel them using this process.

MARK A HORSE SOLD:
Login -- Click "Update Classified Ad" -- Find the horse you want to mark sold on your list of horses -- The last column following the horse is the "Change 'Sold' Status" column. -- Click the button labeled "Add Sold Sign" to place a sold sign on the ad page.

REMOVE a SOLD SIGN:
Login -- Click "Update Classified Ad" -- Find the horse you want to mark sold on your list of horses -- Click the button labeled "Remove Sign" to remove the sold sign from the ad's page.

UPDATE RANCH PAGE INFORMATION
To change your contact information (address,  phone,  e-mail, URL,  etc.,) or to change your ranch/business description: Choose "Update Ranch Page Info" from your personal menu bar.  Login -- Update Ranch Page Info -- then change or add to the information you originally submitted. Click the "Update" button at the foot of the form.

Remember,  when creating this "ranch/business" page,  be sure to take advantage of this advertising opportunity to fully describe your horse business or horse related activities!  You may be just what people searching by "state" are looking for!!
